Well, we’ve heard from the reviewers, big media and the bloggers – but what about the people? You can log on to Twitter or Facebook to hear the Dragon Tattoo buzz, for sure! We also wanted to share this fantastic letter we just received from one of the Dragon Tattoo Blog Hunt winners (don’t forget the contest ends on April 1st!):Hi!!!
Wanted to get back to you after my weekend screening of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. Thanks so much for arranging the (2) tickets at the Arclight- everything went smoothly at guest services. So, when the usher made the announcement of the film’s running time – “two hours & forty minutes” – you could feel a collective flinch from the audience. I must say the running time was not a problem, and at the conclusion of the film, everybody had positive things to say about their experience.
I had the impression the majority of the audience were big fans of the book… much like myself. I was impressed. Compressing 600 pages into a 140 minute film (I read this is the official running time)…and NOOMI RAPACE completely owns the role of Lisbeth Salander.
Most fans will agree that Larsson’s greatest accomplishment is the creation of Salander so Noomi had a tremendous task of portraying her as unforgettable and extraordinary. Her time on screen is riveting…and if anything, has created a desire for the next two movies where her character is fleshed out.
I CANNOT wait to see the next two films! My understanding is that they were made for TV unlike THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. I don’t know what the production value is like, but honestly, I think it will not matter as long as Noomi Rapace is on screen - she is that good in embodying Lisbeth Salander.
The American version soon to follow will be hard to view mainly because whoever they cast as Lisbeth will have some enormous shoes to fill and might stumble headlong into the memory of Noomi’s performance and commitment.
Again, thank you…
Sincerely,
Renee L.Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Renee!!! We’re glad you loved the film as much as we do. Here’s the official announcement for the next two films.

How do I order the movie poster?
I was looking forward to watching these movies after reading all three books, and I must say that the actors were what I pictured in my mind’s eye while reading the books. What I don’t like about these movies has nothing to do with the actors, but with the producer and everyone else who was in charge of these movies. I really hate when writers and producers changes take out or change things in these movies, it really annoys me.
I am looking forward to the American version only because I’m hoping that I won’t have to say “that didn’t happen or that’s not right.”
