Larsson fans who weren’t lucky enough to nab a UK copy of Hornet’s Nest are breathless with anticipation for it’s May 25th release in the U.S. To kick it off the launch of the third book in the Millennium Trilogy, The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest, the publisher, Knopft/Random House is hosting a Lisbeth Salander Look-a-Like Contest.“She’s fierce. She’s ruthless. She’s cold-blooded. And we all want to be her…Here’s your chance. Dress up like Lisbeth Salander and be entered a chance to win a $250 (two-hundred fifty US dollars) gift card to IKEA.”
Check all the details and enter to win here. Pictures have already been posted and they’re pretty dang good, check ‘em out. First and Second Runner-ups will each win 1 (one) THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET’S NEST t-shirt and 1 (one) THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET’S NEST Swedish film DVD.
We want t-shirts so we’re off to die our hair black and apply piercings and tattoos…just kidding. But this contest is fantastic! Of course, we’ll keep checking Knopf’s Flickr page – hope to see you up there!
In the meantime, we’re getting breathless with anticipation for our July 2nd release of the Swedish Film version of The Girl Who Played With Fire. Stay tuned for FIRE updates to this site…coming soon!

I’ve heard some people suggesting the third part of the Larsson trilogy is not as good as the earlier ones. There are doubts, but which book can give me insurance it won’t disappoint me. The reputation of the author (his death has increased my curiosity) is huge, so may be the book would be worth the money. By the way, has anybody bought the book from http://www.uread.com/book/women-t-coraghess-boyle/9780143116479? I have heard they are offering the highest discount among the bookstores. Let me know if it is correct.
Hi The Nerd,
I can only tell you that we all loved the 3rd book!!!! Can’t tell you anything about discounts…you’ll have to do your bargain hunting on your own. Also, we – running this site – are Music Box Films, so our focus is the Swedish films based on Larsson’s books. The second film, The Girl Who Played With Fire, opens in the U.S. on July 2nd and the 3rd, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, opens in October!
Hi there!
Wondering if you have any idea what is happening with the unfinished book Larsson left behind.
BTW, I bought the 3rd book back in April when it was unavailable to us in the U.S. and I paid $45 for it thru Amazon.com England. To me it was WELL WORTH IT!!!
Thanks, P
