Paolo Roberto is well known as a former professional boxer, TV presenter, author and TV chef. He was a parliamentary candidate for the Swedish Social Democrats, a party that he has now left for the Christian Democrats, and he has been active as an actor. His breakthrough was the lead role in the film Stockholmsnatt (Stockholm Night) in 1987, which was based on his own experiences as a violent young criminal. He has also appeared in films including Sökarna (The Seekers) and 9 millimeter (9 mm).
