Tanja Lorentzon studied at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts from 1994-1998, after which she was engaged at Dramaten.

She made her film debut in 1997 in Jonas Felixon’s short film Innan dagen (Before Daybreak), after which she appeared in films such as Fyran nyanser av brunt (Four Shades of Brown), Darling and most recently Wallander – The Debt and Sommaren med Göran (Summer With Göran) opposite Peter Magnusson and David Helenius.

Lorentzon is perhaps best known to Swedish TV viewers as the blond, resolute, ruefully serious police detective in the series Brottsvåg (Crimewave).
