The Internships

Central to the plot of Stieg Larsson’s best-selling Millennium Trilogy (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest) is the life and character of Lisbeth Salander: a twenty-something outcast who has been violently and grossly mistreated by her father, society, the justice system, the medical system and the government at large.

Although she’s proven that she can survive the world on her own, two people give her a chance at a better life. And with these ‘boosts’, Salander goes on to do amazing things—specifically, taking down the bad guys.

In light of a challenging economy and job market, the intention of this contest is to give 20-somethings that same boost in the form of an internship at either MUSIC BOX FILMS (Chicago) or RAINN (Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network, Washington D.C.). Our hope is that this opportunity will inspire you to do great things—and maybe even take down some bad guys.
